Responsibilities to include accounts payable, accounts receivable, human resources, and other related functionalities as required by States and Cities laws.
The position will report to the CEO of the company.
Responsibilities Monitor the financial performance of the company General Ledger Prepares monthly financial statements Analyze financial information Develop and manage financial controls Communicates financial metrics to senior management Provides leadership and support to operational departments, accounts payables and accounts receivables Manage the preparation of payroll Keeps up to date on HR requirements Oversee daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliations.
Manage month-end and year-end closing.
Monitor the daily performance of different departments.
Organize financial data into useable information and maintain updated records.
Assist with establishing accounting policies and procedures, aligned with company's targets and guidelines.
Participate in regular tax audits and payroll.
Ensure compliance with the law.
Qualifications 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the Freight Forwarding industry Strong interpersonal and communication skills Strong analytical and organizational skills to manage large amounts of date Self-motivated and self-directed Ability to work closely with a senior management team Strong computer skills, MS Excel, and QUICKBOOKS in particular (managing spreadsheets, creating charts and using advanced formulas) Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws and regulations.
Excellent analytical skills to manage large amounts of data.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
